The website uses no analytics or tracking tools and sets no cookies or similar storage in your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner. Our Facebook and Instagram profiles are separate from this; see section 07.

Personal data is only processed to the extent technically necessary to deliver a website, and when you write to us by email yourself.

03

When you visit the website, technically necessary connection data is processed so that the page can be delivered to your device. This includes in particular the IP address, the date and time of the request, and details about your browser and operating system. These server logs are deleted after 7 days.

The website is operated on a server of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The server is located in Germany. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider. Fonts and images are delivered by this website itself. No content from third parties is loaded, such as fonts, maps, videos or scripts.

Our Facebook and Instagram profiles

We run one profile on Facebook (Pets Are Family) and one on Instagram (@petsarefamily.app). Both profiles are linked. The platforms are operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland (“Meta”). Provider identification: Legal notice.

This section applies to the profiles only. This website itself embeds nothing from Meta: no Meta pixel, no social plugins, no embedded posts. No data is transmitted to Meta when you visit the website.

Data we receive
When you visit our profiles, follow them, comment on or like posts, or send us a message, we can see your profile name, your profile picture, the content of your comments or messages and the time.
Data at Meta
Meta also processes data when you visit the profiles for its own purposes, for example using cookies and similar technologies. This can happen even if you have no account. We have no influence on this. For details, see Meta’s Privacy Policy, which applies to Facebook and Instagram.
Insights
Meta provides us with aggregated statistics for the profiles (for example reach, interactions, age groups and regions). They contain no data on individual persons. For the processing of the data underlying these statistics, we are jointly responsible with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). The tasks are set out in Meta’s Page Insights Controller Addendum. Under it, Meta is primarily responsible for data subject rights regarding this data.
Messages
We answer messages directly in Facebook, Instagram or Meta Business Suite. We keep them until the enquiry has been dealt with, for 6 months at most, and do not copy them into our own systems. Comments remain visible until we or you delete them.
Advertising
We currently run no advertising on Facebook or Instagram and use no audiences built from customer data.
Legal basis
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in public relations and in communicating with interested persons); for contract-related enquiries Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR
Third countries
Meta may also transfer data to countries outside the EU, in particular the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You can assert your rights from section 05 against us. You can also contact Meta directly, for example through your account settings. A message to matthias@viema.digital is still enough.
